Dr. Kamal Patel is a fellowship-trained interventional and non-interventional pain specialist at NeuSpine Institute.

Dr. Patel has spent years helping patients resolve their acute and chronic spine and joint pain.

Dr. Patel earned his bachelor’s degree with honors in Biomedical Engineering from the George Washington University School of Engineering and Applied Science. During his tenure, Dr. Patel invented a digital goniometer that is used to measure extension and flexion of a joint within 0.7 degrees of accuracy.

After earning his degree, Dr. Patel attended the George Washington University Medical School and earned his MD. During his medical school years, Dr. Patel worked at the Neuroendocrine Unit at the Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School to publish multiple papers and conducted research on athletes in the Boston area.

After medical school, Dr. Patel trained at the Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia for 3 years as an Emergency Medicine Resident. Around this time, Dr. Patel found an opportunity to move to Tampa, Florida for an Occupational Medicine Residency position at the University of South Florida. Within two years, Dr. Patel became the chief resident of the Occupational Medicine Residency and graduated with a Master of Science in Public Health from USF.

Dr. Patel also completed a fellowship in interventional and non-interventional pain at the Deuk Spine Institute in Melbourne, FL. At this position, Dr. Patel completed over 2700 procedures including kyphoplasties, spinal cord stimulator placements, and other minimally invasive procedures. Through his education and experience, he brings a unique and progressive approach to Pain Management and NeuSpine Institute. He looks forward to bringing these innovative techniques to his patients in Dade City and Wesley Chapel.

Dr. Weinberg is a fellowship trained interventional pain physician at NeuSpine Institute.

He completed both residency in anesthesiology as well as a pain medicine fellowship at the preeminent University of Michigan, working with world renowned physicians.  Dr. Weinberg also completed two years of neurosurgical training at the University of Vermont; bringing with him a broad spectrum of knowledge and clinical skills to best address his patient’s concerns.

Dr. Weinberg earned his bachelor’s degree with honors from Cornell University. Following this he assisted in clinical research focusing on the neurobiology of late life depression and schizophrenia at Cornell Medical School and Yale University respectively. He received a Masters of Science from New York Medical College, where he completed the highly competitive Accelerated Interdisciplinary Basic Medical Sciences Program. He then earned his Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of South Carolina.

Dr. Weinberg has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals and has presented at several national conferences in the fields of neurosurgery and anesthesiology. Dr. Weinberg has received multiple accolades including election to Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Medical Honor Society and receiving the coveted Dean’s Special Recognition award for academic distinction from the University of South Carolina.

Growing up in a medical family Dr. Weinberg learned the importance of clinical care that encompasses both the ideals of humanism and clinical excellence.

In addition to treating acute and chronic pain, Dr. Weinberg, has a special interest in peripheral and central neuromodulation, vertebral augmentation, and ultrasound guided interventions. He looks forward to bringing comprehensive and personalized care to you and your loved ones.
